"Getting your bike ready for the season"  Learn about drivertrains, brakes, tires and bearings, and how to check them and prepare them for the riding season ahead. Bring your questions and curiosity.

The ReCyclery fills a niche in our community: bike education and access. We teach bike maintenance in our DIY community shop  and bring biking skills to hundreds of kids through school programs. Our mission is to work with the community to provide pathways to safe and equitable opportunities for cycling and we see bike mobility as a source of resilience, well-being and joy.

Currently we are running these programs:

Teens Biking To Destinations = Focused on teen bike ownership, this program serves 6th - 12th graders, teaches basic maintenance and biking skills while building community and confidence. It culminates in students receiving a FREE bike, helmet, lock and light when they successfully complete the course. This program is grant funded by the Climate Commitment Act, WSDOT and Cascade Bicycle Club.

Bike Safety Education = Fall and Spring we are teaching bike handling and safe riding skills in local PE classes for 3rd - 8th graders.

Bike Bus = In May we partner with Salish Coast Elementary and host a bike bus, where students can join an adult led ride to school. This bus has a route and "picks up" riders along the way. It runs morning and afternoon. It's an alternative ride to school that helps promote healthy bodys and healthy minds.

Access Nights = These are bike maintenance events where we open the shop and have mechanics to serve different groups of people. Families, Women, Seniors and BIPOC to name a few. The goal is to make the bike shop space more welcoming and inclusive to everyone in the community.
