Our early literacy storytimes include fun songs, silly rhymes and ways to get the wiggles out while supporting your love of books. Baby, Toddler and Family Storytimes are all here. More information about each Storytime can be found on our Calendar.

Baby Storytime: Mondays, 10:30am in the Children's Room

This 20-minute lapsit program for babies ages 0-18 months features short stories, action rhymes, lap bounces, and songs to promote language learning and early literacy skills. Parents and caregivers will find a supportive community and opportunities for engagement and connection. Playtime to follow.

Toddler Storytime: Tuesdays, 10:30am in the Children's Room

Toddler Storytime is designed for children ages 18 months to 3 years and features short stories, rhymes, songs, and full body movement to promote language learning and early literacy skills. 

Storytime Connections: Wednesdays, 2pm in the Children's Room

Bring stories to life through hands-on activities and experiences. Each week we will read a short story, which will be followed by a related activity or craft. Build meaningful connections with stories in a variety of ways such as: music, dance, arts & crafts, and STEM activities. Featuring our talented storyteller Judith Bows, with occasional special guest appearances from local children’s book authors. Kids of all ages and their families are welcome to attend this weekly event.

Sing-a-Ling: Third Wednedays, 10:30-11:00, January 2026-May 2026 AND September 2026-December 2026

Part story time, part sing-along, this musical program blends rhyme, finger play, and picture books with ukuleles, harmonicas, and songs you can’t help but hum. Join Keeth from Harmonica Pocket for a playful, music-filled story time that gets toddlers, preschoolers, families and the greater community singing, moving, and laughing together.

Storytime at Port Townsend Farmers Market: First Saturdays, 11:00am-11:30am, April 2026-October 2026

Join Judith, our talented storyteller at the Port Townsend Farmers Market! Listen to her amazing stories, meet her puppet friends, and get those wiggles out while out at the Farmers Market. 

Storytime in the Park: Tuesdays, 10:30am at Chetzemoka Park, June 2026- August 2026

Join us at Chetzemoka Park Gazebo for an outdoor storytime designed to build early literacy skills through stories, rhymes, songs, and full-body movement. All ages welcome! Please dress for the weather, and bring a blanket or cushions to sit on.
