Placing & Picking up Holds
You have options if you can't find a book on the shelf.
If something you want has been checked out by someone else, you can place a hold on it to have it set aside just for you.
You may also place or pick up a hold, or reserve material from other member libraries, which include Jefferson County Library, the Jefferson County Library Bookmobile, H.W.McCurdy Library at the Northwest Maritime Center, Port Townsend School District and Quilcene and Brinnon schools.
Books on hold for you will remain on the hold shelf for one week after we've notified you. If someone else is picking up library materials for you, please have that person bring your library card or add the person as an alternate pickup on your record.
When you're on vacation, you can suspend your hold list while still keeping your place in the holds queue. To do this, stop by the circulation desk, phone the library at (360) 385-3181, or log into your library account.
