Erica Bauermeister has a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. She has co-authored instructional literature entitled "500 Great Books by Women: A Reader’s Guide" and "Let’s Hear It For the Girls: 375 Great Books for Readers 2-14," as well as four novels and one memoir.
Bauermeister's most recent novel, "The Scent Keeper," was chosen as a Reese’s Book Club Pick in February 2020, and her most recent book published is a memoir, "House Lessons: Renovating a Life."
Bauermeister has been a professor of writing and literature, she has been on both the New York Times and USA Today's best-seller list and her books are published in over 25 different languages. Her memoir House Lessons: Rennovating a Life has been selected for the Port Townsend Public Library's 2021 Community Read.

DECEMBER 18, 2020: Writing workshop with writer and illustrator Rikki Ducornet inspired by her 2015 book "The Deep Zoo".
JANUARY 2021: "From Homer to Hashtags." In partnership with the Humanities Washington's Speakers Bureau, we continue our new Salon Series with a presentation and discussion lead by award-winning writer Christine Hemp surrounding the evolution of language and writing.
