The program will be held in the Charles Pink House next to the library.
Join Ron Sikes for a talk on creating landscapes to promote native plants in home landscapes, businesses, and government buildings. The talk with slides will run about an hour and features native plants and birds seen in our area. The theme is the relationship between insects, native plants, and birds. We will discuss the critical importance of native plants to native insects and songbirds and show a sampling of native pollinators, caterpillars, native plants, and the most common songbirds visiting our landscapes.
Ron is a volunteer with our local chapter, formerly Admiralty Audubon, but now named Rainshadow Bird Alliance.
