March 2025
The Strength of Our Connections
As this newsletter drops, I’d like to let you know of a few events happening the first week of March that bring our community together to celebrate, learn, and dream together.
First, we are getting excited for the Connectivity Summit, happening over three days from March 7 – 9 at Chimacum High School. The Summit is a civic engagement event designed to strengthen community connections and increase how our community collaborates together.
Previously known as the Connectivity Fair and the Job and Trades Fair, this year’s Connectivity Summit includes a Youth Opportunity Fair and Symposium, keynote speakers, a variety of “ignite” talks, and an all-community family-friendly civic engagement party at Finn River. Look for a session with Deputy Mayor Amy Howard about engaging with local government, making your voices heard, and even running for office. More information and a draft schedule is available at: www.theproductionalliance.org/events/connectivity.
Second, thankyou to those who joined Mayor David Faber and me for the annual State of the City last night or who listened to the live broadcast on KPTZ. If you missed it, you can listen here and view the accompanying presentation on our website. Also, keep a look out for the 2024 Annual Report that will land in your (physical) mailbox soon!
Communities, perhaps more than ever, need each other. Our creative potential, our ability to solve major challenges, our capacity to take care of each other and of our kids and their future – all of this and more is determined by the strength of our connections. I look forward to seeing many of you at these events as we continue to invest our time, care, and energy into our special community.
