The People and Performance Department is committed to building a skilled, engaged workforce that delivers high-quality services to the residents of Port Townsend.   • Maintaining personnel policies and ensuring legal compliance 
  • Managing compensation and classification processes 
  • Overseeing workplace safety and risk management 
  • Coordinating workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs 
  • Administering CDL drug and alcohol testing requirements 
  • Managing civil service processes for the Police Department
