UTILITY: If I have a leak, how do I get an adjustment from the City?

Customers must apply for a water leak adjustment, in writing, within 30 days of the City's issuance of the water bill sought for adjustment.  You must provide a detailed explanation of when and where the leak or break occurred and what action was taken to repair it (you will need to provide proof of the repair such as photos, receipt from a licensed plumber, etc.).  Once consumption returns to normal (pre-leak) levels, the utility billing department will issue a credit to your utility account.  The utility billing department may only credit up to two months' higher than normal usage and the total amount of credit applied to your utility account may not exceed $500.00.
