Dog Park at Chetzemoka
General Location
Corner of Hudson and Taft Streets
General Description
A fully fenced dog park with sand and bark-chipped open areas.
History
The Dog Park is the only one of its kind in Port Townsend at this time, although there is considerable public interest in the development of other similar facilities and an additional facility is listed in the CIP. Other parks which are ill-equipped to accommodate dogs off-leash are used for that purpose in lieu of sufficient off-leash areas. Formerly used by the Golden Age Club for outdoor activities, this 0.6-acre property adjoins Chetzemoka Park and has been converted to an off-leash dog park. It is located on the corner of Hudson and Taft Streets, is fully fenced and offers sand and bark chipped open areas, a picnic table, park bench, and water faucet.
Opportunities
Water and mountain views.
